FAQs
We do our best work with Bullhorn Automation and Roi-AI
You can be as involved as much or as little as you want to be, however, because automation naturally involves process changes and organisation-wide buy-in – we recommend having an internal super group, that can help embed automation into the day-to-day running of your business.
No. Data health is a journey that needs to be embedded top to bottom, from directors through to consultants and operations. Automation isn’t the silver bullet to fixing all of your data issues, but a lot of the automations we build will help take the heavy lifting away and support data health over time.
It’s only natural to get nervous about automated email comms. There are lots of simple sequences we can start with to dip your toes into automation Also, we only inject emails into the automation mix when it wouldn’t make sense for a recruiter to send it manually (all of the situations where your consultants add value, should remain exactly like that!).
While often done on the same platform, there are some key differences:
Email marketing relates to one-off campaigns that are sent to static lists, usually in line with your marketing calendar.
Automation is made up of trigger-based workflows: when X happens in your CRM/ATS, do Y.
There is crossover. For example, a lot of marketing automation will naturally include evergreen email marketing content such as resources, reports etc.
Operational automation relates to anything to do with a recruitment process or anything internally-facing e.g. applicant rejections, candidate check ins, data health sequences
Marketing automation relates to any sequences that are driving engagement from existing candidates/clients in the database e.g. nurturing leads, re-engaging lapsed contacts etc.
Some common automation mistakes that recruiters fall into include:
Not testing or improving based on analytics
Not putting yourself in your candidate or clients’ shoes.
Waiting for perfection before launching
Trying to automate a broken process (it only amplifies the issues)
Not putting enough thought into copy and design
Not getting buy-in from consultants
Start simple. A lot of the businesses we work with will start with easy-to-implement, high impact automations within their applicant, temp and perm journeys.
